LeafStock policies

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 8, 2026

This policy explains what information LeafStock collects and how it is used when you browse our menu aggregator, create an account, save a search, or request an email alert.

1. What LeafStock is

LeafStock is an informational directory and comparison service for recreational cannabis menus. We collect and organize publicly available dispensary menu data; we are not a dispensary, cannabis retailer, delivery service, or payment processor. Purchases and customer relationships are handled by the dispensary or other third-party site you choose to visit.

This policy covers LeafStock pages and features that link to it. A dispensary, authentication provider, analytics provider, email provider, or other external site may have its own privacy policy, which applies when you use that service.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may receive:

  • Account information. If you sign in, Clerk (our authentication provider) processes information such as your email address and account identifiers. Saved searches, notification choices, and related settings are associated with that account.
  • Alert information. We process the searches and delivery preferences needed to send an alert you requested. Every alert includes an unsubscribe or account control where applicable.
  • Location information. If you choose a nearby-search feature, your browser may provide location information after you grant permission. A city, ZIP code, or manually selected place can also be used. Location settings are optional and can be cleared in the site controls; the browser may retain a selected location in session storage to support your visit.
  • Usage and device information. We may receive pages visited, search interactions, approximate region, browser and device information, and security logs. We use this information to keep the service reliable and understand aggregate usage.
  • Messages you send us. If you contact the operator, we receive the information you include in that message.

Public dispensary menus, product names, prices, and stock snapshots are catalog information rather than information about your LeafStock account. Menu data can still contain a dispensary's own descriptions or identifiers and remains subject to the source's policies.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide search, filtering, nearby results, saved searches, and alerts;
  • authenticate accounts and protect the service from abuse;
  • respond to questions, corrections, and support requests;
  • measure performance and improve the catalog and user experience; and
  • meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.

We do not use account or location information to complete a cannabis purchase. LeafStock does not sell cannabis, arrange delivery, or make a purchase decision for you.

4. Analytics, storage, and similar technologies

When analytics are enabled, LeafStock uses PostHog Cloud for ordered journey measurement and privacy-safe, masked session replay. The browser client is configured with explicit pageviews/events, masks replay text, inputs, and sensitive regions, and does not send passwords, tokens, authentication/contact values, or arbitrary form contents. We may also send bounded first-party product events to operate and debug features.

The site may use browser storage for preferences such as the age-gate choice, theme, and a selected browsing location. Clerk may use cookies or similar technologies to maintain an authenticated session. You can clear browser storage or block cookies, but some account or preference features may then stop working.

5. When information is shared

We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that host the site, authenticate accounts (Clerk), deliver requested email alerts, maintain catalog infrastructure, or provide analytics. Those providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.

Selecting a dispensary or product link takes you to an external site. That site may receive information directly from your browser and controls its own checkout, privacy, and marketing practices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share precise location information for advertising.

6. Your choices and requests

  • deny or later revoke browser location permission;
  • clear a selected location from the site controls or browser session storage;
  • unsubscribe from an alert or change saved-search preferences;
  • manage or close an account through the available account controls; and
  • request access, correction, or deletion by contacting privacy@leafstock.app.

We retain information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, to provide an active account or alert, to resolve disputes, and to meet legal or security requirements. Retention can vary by data type and provider.

7. Security and children

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. LeafStock is intended for people who are at least 21 years old and is not directed to children. Do not use the service or submit information if you are under 21.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised effective date on this page. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@leafstock.app.

This policy is general information about a website's data practices, not legal advice. Consider speaking with a qualified professional about your rights or a specific privacy question.
